Homegoing of Lois Corbett

thumbnailerCORBETT, Winnie “Lois” (nee Robinson) 1933 – 2016 – promoted to the loving arms of her Lord & Saviour at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Thursday, January 14th, 2016 in her 84th year.  Beloved wife of the late John Corbett (2011).  Loving mother & grandmother of Elizabeth Corbett (John Luscombe) of Brantford, her children Chad Baillargeon & Toni-Michelle Benteau (Scott);  Bonnie Peekstok (Jake) of Cayuga, their children Adamo Morelli (Cindy), Racheal Bernard (Phillip), Nathan & Adam Peekstok;  Brenda Fortin (Ted Sorokos) of Dunnville, her children Jason (Amy) & Jeffrey (Caryn);  the late Donald Corbett (1977);  and Jim Corbett (Tracy) of Cayuga, their children Josh, Candace Crowston (John Richardson) & Nicholas.  Lois is also survived by many great grandchildren.  Lovingly remembered by her sister Ruth Marshall (John) of Simcoe and by her brother-in-law Ed Hunter of Port Dover.  Predeceased by her sister Joan Hunter.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Lois with her family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Sunday, January 17th, 2016 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.  A funeral service will be held from Emmanuel Bible Church, 24 Churchill Circle, Simcoe on Monday morning at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Raymond Thompson officiating.  A private family burial will precede the service at Port Dover Cemetery.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Lois are asked to consider the Emmanuel Bible Church or the Norfolk General Hospital Foundation.  Personal online condolences at http://www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199

    There is sorrow here but only for those left behind. For Miss Lois she does not grieve but rests in the arms of her Saviour. Rest well dear lady for a job well done.
