HORNBY, Jeanne Elizabeth (nee Hawley) 1935 – 2016 – passed away at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Sunday, June 26th, 2016 in her 81st year. Cherished mother of Marilyn Pankhurst (Fred) of Port Dover; Katherine Hornby of Victoria, BC; Bonnie Cronkwright of Kingston; the late Roger Hornby (1994) and Daniel Hornby (Eden) of Toronto. Loving grandmother & great grandmother of Matthew Pankhurst (Jocelynn); Adam Pankhurst; Melissa Kristiansen (Jason), their children Jared & Kyle; Christopher Lam; Cara McLellan (Allister), their children Keegan & Finley; and Harrison, Dylan, Gillian, Titus & Ethan Hornby. Jeanne will be lovingly remembered by her sisters Carol Husband of Perth and Nancy Brazier of Chestermere. Predeceased by her brother William Hawley. Jeanne will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews & extended family. Friends are invited to share their memories of Jeanne with her family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Wednesday, June 29th, 2016 from 9:00 – 10:45 a.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel following visitation at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ron Mullin officiating. Private interment of ashes: Port Dover Cemetery at a later date. Those wishing to donate in memory of Jeanne are asked to consider the Eva Brook Donly Museum or the Norfolk Historical Society.
